May 27

Replaced the burnt out motor today. We also had our first victory. Everything was working well and we scored many points by pushing the tubes into the goals.

May 26

We had another lose today. we were winning until our right motor burnt out so we could only spin in circles.

May 25

Our first battle was today. Wwe lost by two points, 5-3. It was close.

May 24

Chris and i were both gone today for the Physics feild trip to Valleyfair.

May 23

We cut the axels down about an inch and a half because we were over the width limit by that much.

May 13

Today we added a longer, shorter, curved plow for pushing the objects around. It's made out of the same material we made the last one out of. This will help us get the objects into the goal easier; we can now collect multiple pieces at a time. It needed to be shorter to fit under the goal and push the pieces all the way in.

Controlling the robot is still proving to be our biggest issue. We're still fiddling with the remote control bindings to get optimal performance and control. It's still going to be too difficult to position the crane in front of the objects. Pushing the pieces is still going to be faster and more efficient.

May 6

We attached the plow to the body and changed our gear ratio so the robot wouldn't move as quickly.

May 5

We got all of the wires connected and the speed controls in place. We were able to drive it today.

May 4

Chris and I made boxes on the body to hold the battery and speed controls in place.

May 3

We made the back plow today

May 2

Both Chris and I were gone taking the AP Psych Test so no progress was made on the robot.

April 29

We added the gear box and wheels to the body. It's starting to look like a robot now.

April 28

We added these wooden blocks to the robots to give the brass axles more support.

April 27

We added the brass axles to our wheels along with a rubber coating around the wheels for more traction.

April 26

We cut out our wheels. We made them 3 1/2 inches instead of 3 for various reasons. Mainly to make the robot move more quickly.

April 25

We completed making the arm. We used Styrofoam and Masonite for support.
